INTERNATIONAL Container Terminal Services, Inc’s (ICTSI) Madagascar International Container Terminal (MICT), Madagascar's leading international trading gateway in Toamasina, recently acquired a mobile harbor crane (MHC). The new container handling equipment brings MICT’s MHC fleet to four, boosting operational performance and market competitiveness in terms of container handling volume in the Indian Ocean region. The MHC, a HMK 6407 model manufactured by Gottwald, has a maximum reach of 51 meters, and a capacity of 41 metric tons for single lift and 50 metric tons for twin lift.
