Air Canada announced it is expanding its service across the Asia-Pacific with additional flights to South Korea, China, and Japan, starting mid-2013. It will also launch a nonstop Toronto-Istanbul route in June 2013.
On top of its existing Vancouver-Seoul service, a new nonstop, thrice-a-week service will be added between Toronto and Seoul from June 2, 2013, said Air Canada, the country’s largest domestic and international carrier and the 15th largest airline in the world.
It will also broaden its network to China with three more weekly departures, or 10 flights a week, between Toronto and Beijing on June 1.
And from Vancouver there will be four additional departures a week planned for Beijing, for a total 11 flights a week.
Meanwhile, the service from Calgary to Tokyo Narita will be upgraded to daily flights with the addition of two flights a week starting May 1, up from five a week.
The thrice-a-week service to Istanbul will begin June 4 to penetrate Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa with alliance partner Turkish Airlines.
