Singapore-based supply chain company YCH held a groundbreaking ceremony on December 7 launching the Supply Chain City project, a 6.5-hectare logistics facility to be built in Wenya, Jurong West, Singapore.

The site will be a supply chain nerve center and knowledge ecosystem of industry best practices as well as house the corporate headquarters of the YCH group, an official company statement said.

The Supply Chain City will deploy Fusionaris, a patent-pending fusion of automated storage and retrieval system and ramp-up integrated solution that optimizes floor planning, uses automation, and integrates state-of-the-art warehousing capabilities.

Apart from the warehousing and logistics components, the facility will contain customizable office and storage facilities for SCM businesses and partners.

“Supply Chain City is expected to facilitate the activities of a 10,000-strong community of supply chain talent, including some of the most notable movers and shakers in the industry,” the statement said.

The complex will also include a training academy and an exhibition and function hall.
