Intra-Asia shipping and logistics company SITC plans to launch two new services late this month and in mid-March, the latter in partnership with Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” Line).
The Japan-China-Vietnam service (CJV5) will start on February 28 from Tokyo and will deploy three container ships with capacities ranging from 800 20-foot-equivalent units to 1,000 TEUs.
Its ports of call are Tokyo, Yokohama, Hitachinaka, Kawasaki, Nagoya, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Shekou, Haiphong, and back to Tokyo with a three-week turning time.
The Japan-China-Vietnam-Thailand (VTX3) service is a joint undertaking with “K” Line, set to be launched by the middle of next month with four 1,000-TEU ships, three of which will come from SITC.
The VTX3 will follow a port rotation of Tokyo, Yokohama, Hitachinaka, Shanghai, Ningbo, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Manila (North and South), Shanghai, and back to Tokyo with a four-week turning time.
