Geneva-based Mediterranean Shipping Co. (MSC) announced a general rate increase (GRI) for all cargo from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore to any Australia port.

The world’s second-largest container carrier will implement a GRI of US$300 per 20-foot equivalent unit effective November 1, 2011.
