Eculine Phils recently contributed $1 for every cubic meter shipped in and out of Philippines for December 2013 and January 2014 for typhoon Yolanda relief efforts. The donation is in line with the company’s philosophy to actively support the social development of the economically challenged. Eculine, part of the Avashya Group, plays an active role in various corporate social responsibility initiatives through the Avashya Foundation. Chairman and managing director Shashi Kiran Shetty said the group pledges its “efforts and commitment in contributing to the betterment of the society, thereby bringing a sustainable change in the lives of our fellow citizens.” Photo shows Eculine Phils. country manager Bramhananda Sharma (left) handing the check donation to Philippine National Red Cross Chairman Richard Gordon.
