ID-100262164The Chamber of Customs Brokers, Inc. (CCBI) has elected its new set of directors for 2015-2017.

Following CCBI’s election held April 10, the new set of 15 directors are Jose Rommel Abac, Armando Chan, Dennis Del Pilar, Lamberto Mindanao, Alperson Peralta, Luzviminda Ramirez, Ariel Reyes, Roberta Riga, Joseph Romano, Jeanette Roxas, Reynaldo Soliman, Jude Thaddeus Swing, Florecita Tagle, Merlyn Venci, and Levy Adrian Zapata.

All the directors, except for Tagle who ran independently, are members of one party. Abac, Del Pilar, Mindanao, and Reyes were reelected, while Riga is CCBI’s current president.

The directors will choose among themselves the officers for the new two-year term.

The recent election, which was moved from last month, only gathered more than 400 CCBI members, the lowest participation in the organization’s history, according to a PortCalls source.

CCBI has about 2,000 practicing members and has chapters in Manila, Subic, Batangas, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, and Zamboanga.
