The G6 Alliance announced it will add calls to Busan in South Korea and Kaohsiung in Taiwan to enhance its Asia-North America service network “in response to market demand.”
For the CC2 (Central China 2) Service, a permanent Busan stop will be added to the operations.
The new port rotation will be Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Long Beach, and Ningbo.
The maiden voyage is the OOCL Kuala Lumpur with an expected time of arrival (ETA) in Ningbo on June 28, 2015 and ETA in Long Beach July 16.
Transit times from other origins will remain unchanged.
For the SC1 (South China 1) Service, it will be upgraded to include an additional eastbound Kaohsiung call.
The new port schedule is Xiamen, Chiwan, Yantian, Kaohsiung, Los Angeles, Oakland, Kaohsiung, and back to Xiamen.
The initial sailing is the APL Houston with an ETA in Xiamen on July 1 and ETA in Los Angeles on July 20.
The G6 Alliance, which operates between Asia and Europe, Asia and North America as well as on the trans-Atlantic, is made up of APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha, and Orient Overseas Container Line.
