The Bureau of Customs is open during the Nov 17-19 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Metro Manila.
This is despite cancellation of work in government offices in the National Capital Region on those dates. November 18 and 19 have also been declared special non-working holidays for the private sector.
The Port of Manila, Manila International Container Port, and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport will be fully operational during the four-day summit, the BOC said in a statement.
Customs employees assigned to operations and assessment will work on a 7am-7pm shift.
Early this week, the BOC said it has expedited clearing of shipments as part of its initiative to pull out heavy volumes to clear ports.
