OOCL has been awarded the ‘Ship Operator of the Year’ at the Lloyd’s List Awards, Asia 2011 presentation ceremony held on October 26, 2011 in Hong Kong.

In the selection criteria, companies were judged on their performance over the past year in terms of their business development, safety, efficiency, reliability and profitability.  By taking this award, OOCL is recognized for having excelled in all these areas to achieve high operational efficiency as well as earning the trust of customers and industry peers for its superior products and quality services.

Mr. Andy Tung, OOCL’s Chief Operating Officer, received the award at the presentation ceremony and said, “While we are very pleased with our accomplishment in being commended as the ‘Ship Operator of the Year,’ we will never allow ourselves to be complacent.   In the face of a volatile economic environment ahead, we will continue with our aim to push the efficiency of our operations to an even higher level.”

“The encouragement from this award will motivate us to do even better – to create more value for our customers through reliable and customized services and generate creative solutions to better allocate our resources that would ultimately boost our operational efficiency,” he added.
