Below is my wishlist for Christmas 2011 which I want to share with our readers:

BOC and e2m System

–      Tangible action on the part of Bureau of Customs to address issues raised by the Philippine International Seafreight Forwarders Association (PISFA) regarding the e-manifest system

–      Final decision on when to fully implement electronic air manifest submission and mandatory matching between electronic MAWB/HAWB and electronic import declaration

– Decision on when to fully implement the mandatory Automated Export Declaration System (e2m AEDS) nationwide

– Define implementation timetable for the Raw Materials Liquidation System (RMLS)

– Final decision on what to use – Global Positioning System (GPS) or Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) as preferred cargo-tracking technology

PEZA

– Final implementation timetable for the Automated Export Documentation System (PEZA AEDS)

– Decision to proceed with wider implementation of automated Ecozone Logistics Service Enterprise (ELSE) system

ATI, ICTSI and MNHPI

– More active push for wider implementation of electronic payment of cargo and vessel charges
