Zim announced a general rate increase (GRI) on the Indian subcontinent-North/South Europe, Mediterranean and Black Sea trades from February 1, 2012.

The GRI will be US$200 per 20-foot container, the Israel-based carrier said in a statement on its website on January 10.

“This update is necessary in order to maintain our current levels of service and high reliability,” the shipping line added.
