Indonesian-based e-commerce express delivery firm J&T Express has officially launched in the Philippines in a bid to extend its services to the growing local market.

“The e-commerce market has grown exponentially and is poised to grow further in the Philippines. That is why we are extremely excited to officially launch J&T Express in the country and become the express service of choice of Filipino merchants who are looking to sell their products online,” J&T Express Philippines chief executive officer Dean Ding said in a statement.

The technology-based and internet development express company, which started in Indonesia in 2015, offers 365 days of operations—even on weekends and holidays—to serve its customers. J&T said this has made it a standout and one of the leading express delivery companies in Indonesia, covering large areas for free pick-up services and reaching a peak of 1.5 million package deliveries each day.

Two years since its establishment, the company has expanded across Southeast Asia, serving more customers, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and online businesses. Aside from Indonesia and the Philippines, J&T Express is also present in Vietnam and Malaysia, and will soon be in Thailand.

“As an express company, J&T Express is committed to helping our customers thrive in the e-commerce business by bringing our reliable, efficient, and fast delivery service nationwide. With ‘Express Your Online Business’ as our slogan, we hope to help our customers realize a more practical and efficient express service for online business and encourage the development of our business partners to be bigger and stronger,” Ding said.

Officially launched on March 2 in the country, J&T is now gearing up to serve more Filipinos nationwide. It currently covers nine regions in the Philippines and delivers parcels and packages across the country through its 300 drop points. It also offers free pick-up services, real-time tracking system, and a fast claims system.

Dean explained further that they want to make online businesses grow and prosper by continuously innovating and bringing excellent service to its customers. To date, the company already has top-of-the-list clients, including Zalora, Lazada, Shopee, Oppo, and caters to more than a thousand customers in the Philippines.

To ensure easy access by its customers, the company has three service platforms: website, mobile application, and 24/7 hotline. J&T partners also have their own VIP platform.

J&T Express said it applies technology development as its basic system, utilizing advanced IT systems to improve efficiency and deliver quality service to its customers. It also provides pick-up service with a high transmission speed, as well as support to the growth of partners’ e-commerce business.
