It’s all systems go for the first Mindanao Logistics Summit happening on October 4, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Grand Caprice Convention Center, LimKetKai Center in Cagayan de Oro City.

With the theme “Shaping the Future of Mindanao Business,” the conference and exhibit will tackle the contribution of the logistics industry to the growth of Mindanao businesses and the national economy.

The summit will bring together more than 200 conference participants from the government, private sector and academe, 15 exhibitors from the logistics industry, and representatives from supporting industry organizations in and around the Mindanao region.

Speakers include Mindanao Development Authority Secretary Emmanuel Piñol; Cagayan de Oro mayor Oscar Moreno; Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc.-Cagayan de Oro chair of board and acting president Lolita Cabanlet; Phividec Industrial Estate-MO Industries Association president Augustus Adis; Philippine Maize Federation, Inc. chairman emeritus Rodrigo Bioco; Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines president Christine Pardiñas; Logistikus, Inc.’s cold chain head Oliver Caday and on-shelf logistics head Raymund Acedera; Victory Group of Companies president and CEO Enrique Castillo; Apptech managing director Maribeth Baba; and SAP Philippines business one local product expert John Raymond Raymundo.

All proceeds from the conference, which is being organized by Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan High School Batch 1984, are committed primarily for the scholarship program of XUHS Batch ’84 Foundation. XUHS Batch ’84 has also pledged to match net proceeds from the summit with personal contributions from its members.
