Evergreen Line has announced a slot-charter agreement with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) that will link Asia to southeast Africa. The weekly service, called MZX (Mozambique Zuid Africa Express Service), departs on August 11 from Tanjung Pelepas.
The MZX service is operated by five ships and has a 35-day transit route. The port rotation is Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Port Louis, Durban, Maputo, Tanjung Pelepas.
Evergreen line said MZX will improve the shipping network around the Indian Ocean islands by offering services to the landlocked countries in southeast Africa.
