Safmarine Sumba MPV vessel

Safmarine Sumba MPV vessel SAFMARINE recently appointed Ben Line Agencies to represent its Multi Purpose Vessel Services (MPV) business in Asia.

“Ben Line Agencies are well known in the Asian breakbulk and project cargo communities. With their extensive shipping industry experience, they will assist us in further developing our MPV customer business in Asia,” said Hu Ke, Safmarine’s head of MPV in Asia.

Ben Line will be providing Safmarine’s Asia-West Africa service with specialized local sales and customer service and operational support, including local port agencies and offshore support for the tonnage deployed.

Three years ago, Safmarine commenced its MPV service between the Far East and West African ports. Customers of containerized, conventional and multipurpose vessel cargo are able to carry a mix of cargo on the same vessel under a single bill of lading. Safmarine’s Asia MPV service coverage will extend from China to Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, to other countries in the Far East.
