Bureau of Customs-Manila International Container Port (BOC-MICP) and International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) officials will come together for a half-day event to provide updates on programs and policies toward facilitating trade at Manila’s biggest port.

With the theme “Ease of Doing Business at MICP: A Stakeholders’ Forum on Trade Facilitation,” the event—organized by PortCalls and Asia Customs & Trade—will be held on July 20 at New World Manila Bay Hotel, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Speakers include BOC-MICP district collector Atty Vener Baquiran and MICT Customer Relations manager Erika Ambrosio. Justin Tolentino, ICTSI Asia Pacific commercial director, will join the Q&A at the end of the program.

The forum will tackle facility and process improvements at MICT, the flagship terminal of ICTSI, and provide updates on changes instituted by the BOC-MICP leadership to support trade facilitation.

Also for discussion are issues around valuation and the disposition of alert orders. BOC will likewise give the latest developments on its new Enhanced Goods Declaration Valuation System, which aims to allow stakeholders to file entries and verify their status online.
