ISSUES and concerns of the cargo-handling industry will be discussed by experts at the 2nd Visayas Cargo-Handling Operations Excellence Forum on July 26, in Cebu Parklane Hotel, Cebu City, southern Philippines.

The event is being organized by AGF Consulting Group-Philippines in collaboration with The Philippine Chamber of Arrastre and Stevedoring Operators Inc., Philippine Ports Authority-Visayas and Cebu Port Authority.

Atty. Fernando Claveria, port district manager, will keynote the gathering. Other speakers include Atty. Buenaventura Go-Soco, regional director of the National Economic and Development Authority; Atty. Tomas Riveral, Oriental Port and Allied Services Inc. president; Miguel Lalauri, president of the Cebu chapter of the Philippine International Seafreight Forwarders Association Inc.; and Benjie Acol, president of the Philippine Chamber of Arrastre and Stevedoring Operators.

Speakers will discuss how industry stakeholders can maintain cargo-handling systems that conform to ISO standards.

Participation fee is P4,000 per delegate. For groups of a minimum of five persons, each person will be charged  P3,250.
