Cebu Port Commission (CPC), the governing body of the Cebu Port Authority (CPA), has welcomed Atty. Jose Mario Elino Tan as the new commissioner who will represent the shipping sector.

Tan, who was appointed by President Benigno Aquino III, will replace Benjamin Akol who has served the CPC for five years.

The CPC is currently composed of alternate chairman Transportation and Communications undersecretary Julianito Bucayan, Jr.; vice chairman/CPA general manager Edmund Tan; Commissioner for Cargo Handling Labor Sector Tomas Riveral; Commissioner for Business Sector Teotimo Ballesteros, Jr.; Commissioner for Cargo Handling Labor Sector Joselito Pedaria; and Commissioner for Shipping Sector Marino Fernan.
