Cargo movements at Singapore Changi Airport, which decreased 7.1 percent in January 2012 due to the Lunar New Year holidays, rebounded in February.
The airport handled 143,900 tonnes of cargo last month, an increase of 12.4 percent over the same month last year, the company said in a March 21 statement.
Disregarding the impact of the Lunar New Year holidays, airfreight movements grew 2 percent year-on-year during the January-February 2012 period, it added.
As of March 1, Changi Airport serves some 100 airlines operating more than 6,100 weekly flights connecting Singapore to over 220 cities in 60 countries and territories.
