E-commerce initiatives in the Asia Pacific and Philippine customs regulations in support of the e-commerce trade were front and center at the PortCalls- and Asia Customs & Trade-organized conference on “Cross-Border E-Commerce” on July 26, 2019 in Solaire.
There were also presentations on best practices of 3PLs and an e-commerce operator; hot button issues in the e-commerce space; and other efforts—both by government and private entities–at crafting an e-commerce roadmap. A lively panel discussion on how trade facilitation can be squared with trade compliance capped the conference.

The panel discussion was moderated by Mondelez International’s Customer Logistics Development Lead Cris John Garcia. International trade expert Atty Anthony Abad was the master of ceremonies.
