The Chamber of Customs Brokers, Inc. (CCBI) has appointed a new set of officers for 2015 to 2017, with Dennis Del Pilar as its new president, replacing Roberta Riga.
CCBI, in a statement, said Del Pilar’s “dynamism, experience and brilliance coupled with undying optimism and love for the customs broker profession are only few of the traits” that elicited the unanimous vote from CCBI directors during the election held on April 15.
Over the years, Del Pilar has served CCBI in different capacities, including as director, treasurer, and vice president for professional development.
Completing the new set of officers are Ariel Reyes, executive vice president; Jose Rommel Abac, vice president for internal affairs; Luzviminda Ramirez, vice president for professional development; Lamberto Mindanao, vice president for international affairs; Atty. Joseph Romano, vice president for government affairs; Alperson Peralta, corporate secretary; Florecita Tagle, treasurer; Armando Chan, auditor; and Reynaldo Soliman, press relations officer.
Directors include Riga, Jeanette Roxas, Jude Thaddeus Swing, Merlyn Venci, and Levi Adrian Zapata.
CCBI’s new board of directors were elected on April 10.
The chamber has about 2,000 practicing members, with chapters in Manila, Batangas, Cebu, Subic, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, and Zamboanga. – Roumina Pablo
