Lawyer Randy Escolango has been appointed as Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority’s (SBMA) new officer-in-charge (OIC) administrator, replacing Roberto Garcia, who was both SBMA chairman and administrator. Escolango was formally installed through a memorandum order issued on October 19 by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, and joins newly appointed SBMA chairman Martin Diño in heading the authority. Prior to his designation as OIC administrator, Escolango was SBMA’s deputy administrator for legal affairs, overseeing the labor and legal departments.

Escolango was also a Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary Volunteer Services and Training Support Group director of the 111th Auxiliary Squadron and Coast Guard Auxiliary District NCR-Central Luzon director, and is a member of the board of trustees of the Philippine Association of Government Corporate Lawyers.
