Evergreen Line announced plans to launch a Belawan-Malaysia feeder route (BMS) in late April to further strengthen its intra-Asia service network.
Evergreen Line will deploy one 1,164-TEU ship to the weekly Belawan-Malaysia service, which will have a port rotation of Belawan, Penang, Tanjung Pelepas, and Belawan.
The first sailing commences from Tanjung Pelepas on April 28, 2012.
Evergreen explains the move: “Abundant natural resources enable Indonesia and Malaysia to maintain strong exports of raw materials. Besides, the large populations of these two countries are expected to boost the growth potential of their consumer markets and drive the increase in import volumes.”
