Hamburg Sud and its service partners will temporarily withdraw the New Good Hope Express Service (NGX) Loop 3 between Asia and the East Coast of South America East Coast from November 2013.
The shipping line added that they will continue to provide multiple, direct services in the trade but will reorganize these services “to reflect reduced trade volumes” between November and April each year.
The New Good Hope Express loops 1 and 2 will remain unchanged. The NGX Loop 3 will be withdrawn effective November 1, 2013 through April 30, 2014.
During this period Hamburg Sud will offer two additional weekly services through cooperation with the existing CSW and NHX services between Asia, Brazil, and the River Plate.
The NGX service rotations for the winter season are as follows:
NGX 1: Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Sepetiba, Santos, Itapoa, Itajai, Paranagua, Santos, Sepetiba, Port Elizabeth, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Busan
NGX 2: Shanghai, Ningbo, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Klang, Santos, Paranagua, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Itapoa, Santos, Durban, Port Klang, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai
NGX 4 (CSW service): Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Santos, Paranagua, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Paranagua, Sao Francisco do Sul, Santos, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai
NGX 5 (NHX Service): Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Hong Kong, Singapore, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Navegantes, Paranagua, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Busan
Meanwhile, CMA CGM announced its winter blank sailings on the Far East to the Mediterranean (MEX 3) trade lane.
The void trips are week 41 with the Margrethe Maersk, with an expected time of departure from Shanghai of October 10; week 43 with the CMA CGM Ivanhoe, leaving Shanghai October 24; week 46 with the Don Pascuale with an ETD Shanghai of November 14, and week 48 with the Pelleas, departing Shanghai November 23.
