After 15 years, IAG Cargo returns to Sri Lanka in mid-April to offer cargo services on its new passenger flights from Colombo.
The new route, to begin April 15, will be operated three times a week using a Boeing 777 aircraft and includes a stopover in the Maldives. The belly-hold capacity will give Sri Lanka global connectivity to more than 350 destinations served by the airline’s network.
IAG Cargo in an official release said it will provide the complete service portfolio to a wide range of commodities, including garments, perishables, and valuables.
Sri Lanka is an important center for manufacturing various goods, including high-end retail products, fruits and vegetables, and rubber.
