INTERNATIONAL Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) recently promoted Maricel F. Marcelo to accounting manager of ICTSI Ltd., ICTSI’s overseas projects subsidiary, and Julien C. Domingo to assistant accounting manager of ICTSI’s flagship operation, the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT).

Marcelo replaces Romeo A. Salvador who was recently appointed MICT operations manager for systems.

Marcelo is now tasked to supervise and direct all accounting and reporting activities of ICTSI subsidiaries, particularly ICTSI Ltd., International Container Terminal Holdings, Inc., and Container Terminal Systems Solutions, Inc. She reports to the vice president and controller. She joined ICTSI in 1999 as assistant manager for the Finance Department. Before ICTSI, she was an audit supervisor of Sycip Gorres & Velayo Co. (SGV).

Marcelo is a 1993 graduate of Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Accountancy, magna cum laude, from the Centro Escolar University. A certified public accountant, she is a member of the Philippine Institute of CPAs (PICPA). As assistant accounting manager, Domingo reports to the ICTSI accounting manager for MICT, assisting in the supervision of the General Accounting Section.

Domingo also assists the executive vice president in forming financial models and projections for on-going projects, and the tax manager for the implementation of new tax procedures compliant to Bureau of Internal Revenue regulations.

For Bauan International Port, Inc. (BIPI), a subsidiary of ICTSI operating the Bauan Terminal in Batangas, Domingo is tasked to assist the general manager on customer relations, finance, accounting activities.

Domingo joined ICTSI in 1998 as accounting supervisor for ICTSI International Holdings Corp., a former subsidiary of ICTSI. Before ICTSI, he was with SGV as an external auditor.

A certified public accountant, Domingo is a graduate of Bachelor of Science major in Accountancy, cum laude, from the Saint Louis University in Baguio City. He is a member of PICPA.
