Japan-based ocean carrier Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” Line) will launch as a slot operator the Thailand-East India Express (TCX) on September 7, 2011 to enhance its East India service.

Port rotation will be Laem Chabang,Singapore, Port Kelang, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Port Kelang, Singapore, Laem Chabang.

With this new direct service, transit time from Laem Chabang to Chennai will be cut to eight days, said the company.

“K” Line also operates another weekly service, called INDFEX-2, which calls at Busan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Shekou, Singapore, and East India.
