Kerry Logistics continues to expand in Vietnam as it starts the construction of another warehouse in the Song Thang area of Ho Chi Minh City.

The 11,000-square-meter facility is targeted for completion by the first quarter of 2013. It will be the company’s ninth warehouse in Song Thang and will bring its total storage capacity in the area to 62,000 square meters.

“We have been building our network of warehouses across Vietnam and now have extensive coverage in the north, central and southern regions of the country. In Song Thang, a major centre for freight and logistics services, we have built significant capacity to meet growing local demand for quality warehouse space,” said Rosa Du, general director of Vietnam, in a press release.

The Hong Kong-based global freight forwarder also has a 9,000-square-meter facility in the port city of Danang, central Vietnam, which opened in 2010, and a 10,000-square-meter center in Hanoi that opened a year later.
