Philippine logistics and remittance company LBC Express, Inc. has signed RamcoSystems’ Human Resources and Payroll Solutions to streamline the entire life cycle of its 8,000 roster of employees, from hire to retire, on a unified solution.

Under the agreement, LBC Express will implement Ramco HCM Integrated with Global Payroll across its global enterprise covering associates in more than 30 countries. The service will include modules for core HR, time & attendance, leave management, employee self-service, and recruitment.

In a statement, LBC said the move to a unified web-based application will enable its HR team to focus more on strategic HR initiatives while aspects related to employee self-service, which are currently manually done, will become completely automated. Employees, on the other hand, can get real-time access to data via the solution’s SMS chat, mail transactions, and CHATBOT, among others.

This is expected to reduce substantially employee support cost, time, and effort, LBC said.

LBC Express chief people officer Jhayner Bhufi, during the agreement signing on December 14, said the system targets a rollout of April next year. With the efficiency provided by the system, Bhufi said they expect reduced operational costs.

LBC Group president and chief operating officer Miguel Camahort said acquiring the software “wasn’t a difficult decision” as they saw the value of it.

Camahort said he hopes to expand LBC and Ramco’s partnership into acquiring the latter’s logistics system. Aside from HR solutions, Ramco offers software for the aviation and logistics industry, manufacturing, infrastructure, and utilities, and other services.

Ramco, a software product and service provider incorporated in India, has been present in the Philippines for the last three years with a growing number of clients in different industries. It has 21 offices spread across India, Asia-Pacific, U.S., Canada, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and counts more than 150,000 users and over 1,000 customers since its inception.

Ramco chief executive officer Virender Aggarwal said the Philippines was one of their fastest-growing markets and foresees more sales in the coming year.
