Leonilo E. Miole has been elected as the new general manager of Cebu Port Authority (CPA), replacing Angelo Verdan, who passed away on June 5.

Miole was elected by the Cebu Port Commission (CPC), the governing body of CPA, according to Department of Transportation undersecretary for maritime Fernando Juan Perez. In a social media post, the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas said Miole took his oath on July 18. Concurrently, Miole will sit as vice-chairman of the CPC.

Prior to joining CPA, Miole had been with the Philippine Ports Authority, with his latest assignment as port manager of Davao.
