A  container vessel capable of carrying 510 twenty-foot equivalent units will join Lorenzo Shipping Corp’s (LSC) fleet by end 2012.

The publicly listed Philippine company has entered into an agreement with a foreign seller for the acquisition of the MV Siefke.

“The vessel is intended to replace one of the company’s vessels which will be sold within the year as part of the company’s modernization program,” LSC said.

Built in 2002, MV Siefke will fly the Philippine flag.
