Danish carrier Maersk Line is adding Busan Port in South Korea to the schedule of its Asia-Europe service called AE10.
Busan Port is one of the world’s leading container hubs and expects rising volumes on the back of increasing trade with North Europe and Russia.
The service is a direct call between both Busan and Kwangyang in South Korea and Gdansk, Poland, opening the Eastern gateway with faster transit times and high reliability, a company statement said.
The Ebba Maersk will be the first vessel to sail into Busan on the westbound rotation, expected to arrive on April 29.
Maersk Line plans to phase in its triple-E vessels on the AE10 service to increase capacity and reduce CO2 emissions.
