MANILA North Harbour Port, Inc (MNHPI) should complete construction of a 52-hectare dock at the North Harbor by 2015 as stipulated in its contract, according to the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA).

PPA refused to extend the deadline by two years as requested by MNHPI.

In Resolution No. 2254 dated June 2, PPA noted MNHPI’s construction plan covering January 2012 to June 2017 was “way beyond the three-year completion date as provided in the terms of reference for the modernization of the Manila North Harbor.” The resolution noted construction was originally set to start in 2010 for completion in 2013 but delays pushed it back.
