Manila-based Pac-Atlantic Group of Companies, through its group President, Ramon T. De Leon and Managing Director Jose Engelbert D. Guzman, recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with two insurance and risk management specialists, Gerardo M. Penas and Daniel Z. Barlicos, to form a company that would specialize in insurance products for the logistics and forwarding industry.

First Global Integrated Insurance Agency Inc will not only seek to establish itself as a niche insurance agent for the forwarding and logistics industry but also work to become respected risk management, employee insurance benefits and claims advisors to other industries such as power and energy, oil and gas, petrochemical, manufacturing and construction.

The new company is able to provide an array of services, including review and audit of existing insurance coverage to determine its adequacy and competitiveness of premiums; canvass of rates in the local and international insurance market; review of securities of the insurance and reinsurance panel to ensure reliability of protection and fair settlement of claims; assessment of risks, including quantitative and qualitative estimation of loss probability and severity; evaluation of existing risk control systems to improve and reduce the exposure to losses; survey of facilities to identify hazards and threats to operations and recommend safety precautions and measures; and plan for contingencies to achieve high level of emergency preparedness.
