Rickmers-Linie, the Hamburg based operator of heavy lift and project liner services, is now actively serving Bangladesh and Sri Lanka with direct calls in Chittagong and Colombo respectively. It has appointed new agents in these two countries.

In addition, a new agency has been selected in the Port of Nantes St Nazaire in France.

Rickmers-Linie’s Bangladesh agent is HSR Ocean Trades, located in Chittagong, and headed by Shaffiuddin Rony.

In Sri Lanka, the new agent is Diamond Shipping Services (Pvt) Ltd, located in Colombo. The company also has a branch office in Galle.

In October 2011, Rickmers-Linie announced it had won a long-term contract to transport

fuselage sections for Airbus from Morehead City, North Carolina to Montoir (Port of Nantes St Nazaire) in Northern France. The fuselage sections are designed for the Airbus A350 XWB series.

Taking advantage of these regular calls, Rickmers-Linie appointed an agent in the Port of Nantes St Nazaire, namely Sogebras. Responsible for sales in the catchment area surrounding Nantes St Nazaire is Johann Feltgen.
