Individuals and small businesses can now pay for the services of DHL Express Philippines at payment centers located in SM malls.

This after the international logistics and express service provider struck a deal with SM for the country’s largest chain of shopping malls to provide business payment services to its customers—especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which comprise 99.58% of the registered business in the country—at over 300 SM Bills Payment centers nationwide.

In a statement, DHL said SMEs “will find it easier to pay their DHL Express transactions without having to go to a bank or connect to the internet which may not be easily available in some parts of the Philippines.”

It added that the new service will also benefit Filipinos who ship packages to their loved ones abroad.

“Filipino shippers can leverage on our extensive network and we can help them to expand internationally,” DHL Express Philippines country manager Nurhayati Abdullah said.

To pay at any SM Bills Payment center, clients need only show their official DHL billing statement.

“DHL Express is fortifying long-term relationships that will contribute to making our customers’ lives easier, such as providing them with flexible and secure range of payment options. I am confident that the synergies between DHL and SM will continue to introduce new benefits for our customers in the long run,” Abdullah noted.

Dennis Yaw, SM Retail senior assistant vice president for business center operations, said the partnership “affirms the trust and confidence that DHL Express has in the operations of this service and SM Bills Pay, and I am sure that we will be able to work together in providing convenience for customers of DHL and SM in the coming years.”

Meanwhile, DHL Express has also partnered with SM Global Pinoy, the corporate social responsibility program of SM that provides services tailored specifically for overseas Filipino workers and their families. As part of its promotional launch, DHL Express is now offering a 20% discount to all OFW members of SM Global Pinoy and their families if they ship their package in select DHL retail outlets.
