Wan Hai Lines and Sinotrans Container Lines have launched together a new North China-Taiwan service.
The maiden voyage, on the Wan Hai 233 operated by Wan Hai, started on January 4 from Tianjin.
The NCT II uses two 1,200-TEU containerships, with one operated by Wan Hai and one by Sinotrans.
The 14-day service run makes port calls in Tianjin, Qingdao, Lianyungang, Keelung, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Taipei and back to Tianjin.
“Together with NCT I, the second string of North China to Taiwan will provide customers with more comprehensive coverage and service quality between the Strait,” Wan Hai said in a statement.
