PEZAPhilippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) deputy director for finance and administration Justo Porfirio Ll. Yusingco has been designated as officer-in-charge of the agency by Trade Secretary Ramon M. Lopez.

In a memorandum dated July 20, Lopez said Yusingco’s designation took effect upon the retirement of former PEZA director general Lilia B. De Lima on June 30.

As OIC, Yusingco carries the authority to assume the powers, duties, and responsibilities of the director general of PEZA until such time that a new head is appointed by the country’s President, Lopez said. PEZA is an attached agency of the Department of Trade and Industry.

Last month, De Lima announced her retirement as head of the country’s premier investment promotion agency after 21 years of service.
