Israel-based Zim Integrated Shipping Services has announced the revamp of the port rotation of its independent Asia/India Sub-Continent-East Mediterranean Service starting later this month.
The AME Service is dropping its current call in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and adding a new stop in Ningbo, China.
The new AME rotation will be Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Da Chan Bay, Port Klang, Cochin, Nhava Sheva (Jawaharlal Nehru), Mundra, Suez Canal, Alexandria, Haifa, Ashdod, Mersin, Haifa, Suez Canal, and back to Xiamen.
The weekly service will field eight 4,250-TEU (20-foot-equivalent unit) ships on a 54-day round-trip voyage.
The first call will be by Zim USA, which will arrive in Ningbo on September 22. The last vessel to serve Colombo will be Zim Asia, arriving October 26.
