Netherlands-based Ceva Logistics entered into a joint venture (JV) in Vietnam with its longtime local partner to reinforce the global logistics firm’s presence in Southeast Asia.

With its head office in Ho Chi Minh, Ceva Logistics (Vietnam) is a fully operational JV entity with Indo Trans Logistics (ITL), a Vietnam-based freight forwarder operating within Indochina.

Ceva established its presence in Vietnam over 12 years ago with a representative office offering limited freight management services.

Following the launch of the joint venture, the company will be offering end-to-end integrated supply chain services to customers using its global network coupled with ITL’s local expertise and infrastructure capabilities.

“Vietnam is a fast-developing market in Asia and is strategically located to be an ideal hub for Southeast Asia and China. There is significant potential for growth in the logistics and supply chain industry in this country,” said Ceva’s executive vice president for Southeast Asia, Loo Seng Tak.
