On its 38th founding anniversary, the Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Manila International Container Port (MICP) presented the list of the top importers, brokers, and deconsolidators with the highest contributions to the collection district’s January-November 2016 revenues.
Multinational consumer goods company Procter & Gamble Philippines, Inc. was MICP’s top importer for the period, with P1.737 billion, followed by automotive company Toyota Motors Philippines, Inc. with P1.732 billion. Telecommunications company Smart Communications, Inc. was third with P1.543 billion while Coca-Cola franchise bottler Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines, Inc. contributed P1.364 billion. In fifth spot was food and beverage company Universal Robina Corp., accounting for P1.209 billion.
Courier and logistics company LBC Express topped the list of biggest deconsolidators for the period with a P102.620 million contribution. Freight forwarder Ocean Star Freight Express contributed P92.106 million in revenues, followed by freight forwarder Total Lines Logistics Corporation with P60.690 million.
For the formal entry category, Jimmy Sena led the top five customs brokers, with a contribution of P2.775 billion in revenues to BOC-MICP. Alta Dulce Lumanog followed with P2.506 billion while Dexter Pepanio contributed P2.222 billion. In fourth place was Julius Bingco with P2.081 billion, and in fifth was Wilfredo Valdez, accounting for P1.577 billion.
For the informal entry category, customs broker Isidro Faderguya topped the list with P143.603 million, followed by Rogelio Estrella with P102.602 million, and Esterllita Tañala with P98.009 million.
MICP is one of the collection districts with the highest contributions to BOC’s total revenue collections. Latest data from BOC showed that MICP was the highest contributor for the period with P11.381 billion, 9.8% above its target of P10.367 billion.
