PHILIPPINE company ATS Consolidated, Inc (ATSCI) is dropping ATSCI as its brand name in favor of 2GO Group, Inc.

“ATS is more than just a shipping company and we wanted a new identity that will unify ATS’s brands across all products and services,” chief executive Sulficio Tagud, Jr. said.

“Following approval of the company’s principal stockholder, Negros Navigation Co (Nenaco), we have decided to change the name of the operating company into 2GO Group Inc.”

Under the rebranding program, the company will function with three core units: 2GO Freight which will handle commercial and personal shipping needs, including household goods, commercial auto shipping, container shipping, freight shipping and express shipping; 2GO Supply Chain Management which leverages on the company’s more than 100 years of expertise in logistics, distribution, warehousing, and inventory management; and 2GO Travel which will integrate the inter-island passenger ships and fast ferries of Negros Navigation, SuperFerry, SuperCat, and Cebu Ferries.

In December 2010, ATS then principal shareholders, Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc and Aboitiz and Co Inc, sold their combined shareholdings of 93.2% in ATS to Nenaco for P4.3 billion.
