A world-class logistics and pre-delivery inspection facility for imported vehicles has started operations inside Batangas port – a multipurpose marine terminal managed by publicly listed Asian Terminals Inc. (ATI), two hours away from the Philippine capital Manila.

The state-of-the-art Vehicle Logistics Center, operated by Ceva Logistics Philippines Inc., complements ATI’s Batangas terminal, which in 2011 facilitated the delivery of close to 43,000 completely-built units, making up a majority of the market in the Philippines.

Ceva is a global freight and contract logistics solutions provider.

“Through this facility, our clients can expect the same level of efficiency and commitment to quality customer service backed by Ceva’s global freight solutions and ATI’s diverse services and expertise in the port industry,” ATI executive vice president Andrew Hoad said.

“With its proximity and accessibility to the major industrial and urban locations, we are optimistic we will attract more customers to experience and take full advantage of the world-class services available at the Batangas port in the years ahead,” Hoad added.

The three-hectare facility has spacious staging areas, well-lit parking slots and top-of-the-line pre-delivery inspection portals where fully-automated systems checks are conducted.
