Cheng Lie Navigation (CNC Line), the intra-Asia liner subsidiary of CMA CGM, announced the launch on October 25, 2013 of the KVT service, linking Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand.

The KVT service follows this rotation: Busan, Ulsan, Kwangyang, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh, and back to Busan.

Last month, the Taiwan-based shipping line also introduced another intra-Asia loop—the KCM service—connecting Korea, China, Malaysia, and Singapore.

The loop began operations on September 18 and has this rotation: Busan, Incheon, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shekou, Port Klang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shekou, and Busan.

Meanwhile, CNC Line said it has adjusted the Qingdao, China, terminal handling charge (THC) for all laden shipments within Asia.

The new tariff rates is as follows: RMB770 and RMB1,150 for all 20-foot and 40-foot high-cube dry containers, respectively; RMB850 and RMB1,350 for all 20-foot and 40-foot high-cube reefer containers; and RMB850 and RMB1,350 for all 20-foot and 40-foot high-cube open-top and flat-rack units.

The THC revisions took effect from October 1, 2013.
