Japanese shipping line Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” Line) said on March 23 it will add two new China calls on its intra-Asia services JABCO-1 and JABCO-2, which serve Japan, China, and Southeast Asia.
JABCO-1’s weekly loop will include a call at Ningbo in Zhejiang province. The service links the Japanese ports of Tokyo, Yokohama, Shimizu, Yokkaichi, and Nagoya with China, Thailand, and the Philippines.
The weekly JABCO-2 loop—which links Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe, and Moji with China, Thailand, and Vietnam—will add a call at Da Chan Bay in Guangdong province.
A total of eight vessels will be deployed by “K” Line, with four 2,500-TEU vessels deployed on the JABCO-1 lane, and another four vessels, each with a capacity of 1,700 TEUs, serving the JABCO-2 loop.
The revised JABCO-1 will have a rotation of Tokyo, Yokohama, Shimizu, Yokkaichi, Nagoya, Shanghai, Ningbo, Laem Chabang, Manila, Ningbo, Shanghai, and Tokyo. First sailing will be on April 23.
Port rotation for the upgraded JABCO-2 is Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe, Moji, Shanghai, Da Chan Bay, Ho Chi Minh, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh, and Tokyo. The updated service begins April 25.
