Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” Line) announced today it will upgrade its weekly intra-Asia services JABCO-1 and JABCO-2 to provide better transit times between Japan and Thailand.
“With this enhancement, “K” Line can offer efficient, high-quality services in its Japan-Thailand coverage, maintaining direct coverage for China-Vietnam-Thailand-Philippines trade lane,” the company said in a statement.
Seven vessels will be deployed by “K” Line and SITC on the two intra-Asia loops.
JABCO-1 will deploy three 1,700-TEU vessels with a port rotation of Shimizu, Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh, and back to Shimizu. The upgraded service begins on February 26.
JABCO-2 will operate four 1,200 TEU vessels that will make calls in Tokyo, Yokohama, Hitachinaka, Shanghai, Ningbo, Ho Chi Minh, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Manila, Shanghai, and Tokyo. The revised sling will begin in the middle of March.
