LBC Express, Inc was the Philippines’ leading domestic airfreight forwarder in 2011, based on latest statistics from the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).

LBC Express accounted for 35.71% of the total market last year after it handled 14.035 million metric tons (mmt). The company also topped the CAB list in 2010 although for that year it had cornered a bigger market share (61%).

AP Cargo Logistics Network Corp landed the second spot, representing 18.37% of the total pie or 7.220 mmt. The forwarder occupied the same rank in 2010 when it handled 8.63% of the aggregate.

In third place was Airfreight 2100, Inc which shipped 3.316 mmt for a market share of 8.44% in 2011. Last year it held the same spot when it cornered 5.07%.

Representing 3.66% or 1.437 mmt of the 2011 market was fourth-placer Wide Wide World Express, Inc. In 2010, Wide Wide World Express ranked ninth with a market share of 1.85%.

Trans-Global Consolidators, Inc jumped two notches and finished 2011 in fifth spot after eating up 3.14% of the pie when it shipped 1.232 mmt.

American Freight Forwarders, Inc followed closely in sixth place, representing 1.205 mmt or 3.07% of the market.

In seventh place and a notch higher than the company’s ranking in 2010 was Highlights Express Philippines, Inc. Last year, the company cornered 2.89% of the total or 1.135 mmt.

Vintel Logistics, Inc landed in the eighth spot after cornering 2.77% of the market when it carried 1.087 mmt. Vintel’s 2011 ranking was three notches down from its fifth spot in 2010.

Ninth-placer Explorer Freight Corp accounted for 2.71% of the aggregate or 1.063 mmt. In 2010, the company was in 10th place with a 1.54% market share.

Occupying 10th spot last year was Libcap Marketing Corp. With a share of 2.46%, it handled 965,768 metric tons and finished better than its 2010 rank of 11th.

Rounding up the country’s top 30 domestic airfreight forwarders in 2011 were JRS Business Corp, Ximex Delivery Express, Argo International Forwarders, Inc, ASP Airspeed Philippines, Inc, Kim Gold Cargo Logistics Corp, Nonpareil International, Inc, Airlift Asia, Inc, TNT Express Deliveries Philippines, Inc, F2 Logistics Philippines, Inc, Germalin Enterprises, Inc, Goetz Moving & Storage Corp, CBL Courier Express Intl, Pambato Cargo Forwarders Inc, Agility Logistics Distribution, Inc, Skyfreight Forwarders, Inc, Iris Logistics, Inc, Redgold Forwarders, Inc, Front Cargo Forwarders, Ace Logistics, Inc, and Fast Cargo Logistics Corp.
