MCC Transport Philippines Inc. (MCCP) announced the addition of a third vessel as well as a third loop to its domestic service.

At the company’s recent 10th anniversary at Nobu Hotel Manila, officials said the Iris Paoay, which has a capacity for 1,100 twenty-foot equivalent units, is expected to improve MCCP’s Manila-Cebu-Cagayan de Oro route.

Sailing frequency will also be expanded to twice a week from only once a week. Iris Paoay will be used along with MCC Palawan and MCC Batanes for five of MCCP’s domestic ports.

“We believe that ten years has been enough time for us to prepare for this next big step, and we hope that you continue to support us in the years to come,” MCC chief executive officer Tim Wickmann said in a speech during the celebrations.

MCCP is an undertaking by MCC Transport Singapore PTE. Ltd, Mercantile Ocean Maritime Co. (Filipinas) Inc. and 2GO Group Inc. formed in 2007.
