Pacific International Lines, or PIL, announced a revised port rotation for its China Transpacific Service (CTS) that will improve the transit time from the U.S. West Coast to Brisbane and Sydney in Australia.
The new CTP service rotation will be Long Beach, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Tauranga, Brisbane, Manila, Keelung, Ningbo, Shanghai, and Long Beach.
In a media release, PIL said the new loop makes a direct link between Long Beach in the United States and Brisbane, doing away with transshipment, to cut transit time to 18 days. Transit time from the U.S. to Sydney has also been shortened to 20 days.
From Long Beach, transit time is 23 days to Melbourne in Australia and 29 days to Tauranga, New Zealand.
The revised rotation will take effect in September, with the Kota Jaya, voyage 238, departing from Long Beach on September 1 and arriving in Brisbane on September 19.
